Owls out on a limb

We sometimes receive emails from
Kappas who have recently moved
to the area that are interested in
getting involved with the local
alumnae group. If you happen to
know of this person or a Kappa alum
who has not attended any of our
events in quite a while, please feel
free to forward them the link to our
web site to keep them updated on
our events.

Fundraising & Philanthropy News and Forecast

Service to and support of others has become a natural outcome of Kappa values. In 2004, in a commitment to philanthropic efforts, the organization adopted RIF (Reading
is Fundamental) as its national philanthropy. In addition, Kappa reaches out to all its members through The Foundation – i.e. scholarships and The Rose McGill Fund.

In following in the footsteps of the fraternity, we are asking for your support in the Toledo Alumnae Association’s endeavors. First and foremost, your dues are an important part of our operating budget. Part of every membership goes directly to headquarters to pay for such things as your subscription to The Key, training programs, operating expenses and more. The remaining monies are utilized by our group – printing of the directory, newsletter mailings, scholarships for the Zeta Kappa chapter, Foundation giving, and Holiday Sharing.

In the coming months, we will be evaluating our fundraising and philanthropic efforts.
If you have suggestions for programs for the Fall ‘07/Spring ’08, please call Julie at

Zeta Kappa Scholarship

Having scholarship funds available is a great promotional tool in attracting new members. Please invest in Kappa and the BGSU chapter by contrituting to the fund we have established. You may mail your donation to Angela Rollins.

For updates on the chapter, including recruitment and philanthropy events, please visit their web site at www.bgsukappas.com.

As always, thank you for supporting our programs and Kappa!
