AA News and Updates

The Challenge – If You Choose to Accept

As we transition into fall, the Toledo Association is taking a new approach as well in connecting with it’s members. Life happens and we are all busy...kids, work, etc...but taking time out to get together with friends, especially those who you share a common bond with through Kappa, is as equally important. That’s how you became friends in the first place, correct?

Our activities calendar is posted to the left and, as you can see from the activities listed, our larger gatherings for the fall are the annual Potluck, Founders Day and Holiday Date
Night. However, I know that several women get together on a regular basis for bridge, dinner, and other activities. I’m encouraging all of you to continue to gather as “Kappas” and invite others to attend. A simple phone call is all it takes.

If you would like to make an eannouncement about an activity, please email me at sisters@toledokkgaa.com and I’ll be happy to post that on our web site and send out
an email. The web site is there for you to use as a communication tool – and its quick and easy!!

We’ll be reviving the Night Owls for one or two gatherings over the next few months,
and those events will be posted on the web site.

On another note, I’d like to welcome Connie Nolte, our new RDA. She joined us for our summer board meeting in July. Thank you to Lou Ann Cummings for opening her doors to the officers and Connie.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, please feel free to call me at
419-353-9696 or email me at sisters@toledokkgaa.com. Updates on our events will be posted on the web site and Joan Welch will be spearheading the phone call committee.

Have a terrific fall and I look forward to seeing some of you in the near future.

Fraternity News

The fraternity’s web site – www.KKG.org – contains a wealth of information including news and updates, a member directory, scholarship descriptions and applications, and philanthropy/foundation opportunities. Much of the info is available to the public. However, certain areas can only be accessed by Kappas. All you need to log in is your membership number, which is located on the back of your Key subscription. (Step-by-step instructions on posted online.)
